Kratom Testing Results

Here at Christopher's Organic Botanicals we are constantly looking for new ways of testing and learning more about this wonderful plant. Recently through our relationships with the American Kratom Association we have found a testing company Analytical Resource Laboratory that tests for 2 additional alkaloids we had not tested for in the past. These new tests are now available and allowing us to understand more about Kratom every day. The costs for these tests are higher but learning the most we can about this plant is vital.

We want to try to explain these test results the best way that we can! Analytical Resource Laboratory was recommended at the Utah Mini Summit a few months back and we decided to use them as our third party (secondary) testing. We still test each batch at our co-packer prior to packaging, but we want to make extra sure. MDL is the Minimum Detectable Limit that the tests can look for. There are different Parameters and Wording for each test. For example 1 ug/g = 1 ppm which makes it a lot easier to understand when looking for the limits. Here is the link to the Heavy Metals Limits. Our Archive results page will show this as well. Here is the link for Limits on Microbiology. The second Table is the most helpful.

Here are the 2 newest alkaloids that we are now testing:

Paynantheine: Possible smooth muscle relaxer, but there is limited research available and more needs to be done. 8.6% to 9% of total alkaloid contents in Kratom. Second most abundant alkaloid.

Speciogynine: Possible smooth muscle relaxer. 6.6% to 7% of total alkaloid contents of kratom leaf, representing the third most abundant alkaloid.

We are also testing for 2 types of Ecoli and more microbiological properties to ensure safe products.

As the industry changes and emerges there will be more understanding of this plant. For now we will stay on the cutting edge and make sure you are made aware of industry changes as well.
